“Jalebi Baby” Singer, Child Prodigy Akash Vukoti and Free Family Fun at Canada’s Largest South Asian festival
#BollywoodMonster Mashup presented by TD Bank Group - the largest South Asian festival in Canada - adds live Q&As to their Facebook Live broadcast from Sep 6-9 @ 4pm EST. Fans can ask questions live to Shweta Subram (the voice of Jalebi Baby by Tesher ft. Jason Derulo), Akash Vukoti (child prodigy from the Netflix Documentary “Spelling the Dream”), Amara Ramdhanny (known for designing an Indo-Grenadian inspired Nike sneaker) and media personality Raj Girn (known for celebrity interviews with Priyanka Chopra, Freida Pinto, etc.).
Each interactive Family Fun day begins with the #BollywoodMonster KidZone brought to you by Tim Hortons where kids learn Bollywood dance lessons from Ria Aikat, Soca dance lessons from Melissa Marie, Indo-Caribbean percussion from Devin Ramoutar and arts & crafts from Nimra Bandukwala. Brand new this year are activities for seniors with painting lessons from Khaula Mazhar, Warli art lessons from Devika Mathur, Bollywood dance lessons from Alan Faigal, arts & crafts from Visual Arts Mississauga, singing lessons from Sing Music Studio and special showcases of hidden talent within monstrARTity’s #MonsterArts for Seniors program.
The festival culminates with the #BollywoodMonster free concerts from Sep 10-11 @ 6pm EST on the @BollywoodMashup Facebook page. They’ll feature Bollywood stars Raftaar (rapper of Dhaakad from the film Dangal), Javed Ali (singer of Kun Faya Kun from the film Rockstar), Harshdeep Kaur (singer of Dilbaro from the film Raazi), Priyanka (winner of Canada’s Drag Race), Frog in Hand, Giggle Queens, Veils of Bollywood, Mango Lassi, Sanjina, Miss Shay Dee, Pure Soul Energy, BollyHeelsTO, Rahul Sathu, The Band Destiny, CrossGen and an original Bollywood x Caribbean production entitled #BollywoodMonster Orchestra: Raags to Riddim featuring Dynesti, Al Beeno, Pratik Peters, Shirsha Chakraborty, Shelisa Akbar, Darren Armoogam, Richard Uglow, Olaf Szester, Mistahsoca, Tim Stokes-Rees, LoveSounD, Matt Haché, Eran Foster and Melissa Marie Dance. Fans will be treated to behind-the-scenes chats with artists at the #BollywoodMonster Concert AMA brought to you by OLG.

On Sep 9 @ 5:25 pm EST, MPP Rudy Cuzzetto (Mississauga - Lakeshore) and a volunteer from the Ontario Trillium Foundation will speak about support monstrARTity has recently received from OTF’s Resilient Communities Fund.
