Learn about "The Project Brave" initiative led by Mississauga resident
The Project Brave - Glimpse Into The Life of a Child Team is a group of school kids from the GTA who strive to change the world for the better. The wish to empower student voice and always promote love, acceptance, and unity. They stand up and speak up for what’s right.
As part of their conversations leading up to September 30th, Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Day, they launched a monthly World Changers Glimpse series on their YouTube platform. World changers think and love with their hearts and speak and act with courage and bravery.
They decided to shine their Glimpse spotlight on a young indigenous water activist named Autumn Peltier. How is it possible that a first world country such as Canada can allow disadvantaged citizens to be under a boiled water advisory for more than a decade? For the Glimpse kids, this is not acceptable. They respectfully voiced their concerns in a collective letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
