"Something Blue" campaign comes to Mississauga to support front line workers during COVID-19
A grass roots campaign called Something Blue to support Trillium Health Partners and all front line workers is underway in Ward 7 in Mississauga.
It all started with Ward 7 resident Janis Penhale wanting to find a way to show support for the Mississauga Hospital (Trillium Health Partners) staff during COVID-19. The Hospital is in Ward 7.
Something Blue is a simple way for residents to show their support for Trillium Health Partners and more broadly all front line workers during COVID-19.
All you have to do is tie something blue to your tree, porch or balcony and send us a photo that we can share on social media and with Trillium Health Partners.
Across Ontario, there are already similar blue ribbon campaigns to support front line workers and it’s great to see it replicated in Mississauga.
The campaign has really taken off with residents expressing their appreciation by displaying something blue to show those selfless members of our society that pass our porches and balconies how we feel. Photos can be sent to somethingblue@gmail.com
It is in times like these that doing the little things and staying positive in remembering the good in the world, which will allow us all to come out stronger at the end of all of this. So please, pass on this message to everyone you know and let’s paint Mississauga blue.
