Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - Where can I celebrate New Year's Eve in Mississauga?
Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.”
We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about how to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Mississauga.
I’m looking to ring in 2020 in Mississauga. What is taking place locally?
Ring in 2020 at Mississauga Celebration Square with 30,000 of your closest friends. New Year's Eve at Celebration Square is the city's biggest New Year's celebration.
There will be an award-winning lineup of today's hottest acts. Juno Award winning hip hop artist Jazz Cartier will headline this year's event, with a performance you won't want to miss. Bring your dancing shoes, because Spotify sensation Shope, and pop dynamo LU KALA will have you grooving all night long. Hosted by Mississauga's own Scott Willats and MCS emcee Mariah Amber, Celebration Square will welcome 2020 with a bang.
Bring your skates to hit the rink gliding to some amazing beats, and refuel at one of several tasty food trucks onsite.
Will the kids be joining you? Introducing NYE JR.! New this year, this event is geared for those who want to head to bed early. This pint-sized party will see Mini Pop Kids perform today’s hottest hits live onstage. Hosted by MCS emcee Selena Jasmine, NYE JR. will ring in the New Year for the kids, and still get them home for bed.
The official countdown to 2020 will begin at 11:59 p.m., with an explosive fireworks finale presented by Tim Hortons. To ensure safety for the fireworks demonstration, the rink and upper Square will be closing at 11 p.m.
